Hotel of the week
The only grande dame on Paris’ arty Left Bank has reopened her century-old doors, said Chantel Tattoli in CNTraveler.com. Once a favorite haunt of Ernest Hemingway and Josephine Baker, Hotel Lutetia has emerged from a major renovation looking gorgeous. The 184 guest rooms and suites are all done in navy or gray, and they look out on bustling urban scenes that “you actually want to pause and gape at” (think bakeries, chic shoppers, and cobblestones). The hotel’s new jazz bar “nods to the boho spirit of the place,” and the new spa includes a sunlit swimming pool.
