Nearly half of all cellphone calls will be from scammers by next year, according a report by First Orion, which provides caller ID and call-blocking services for major cell carriers. The number of fraudulent calls increased from 3.7 percent of total calls in 2017 to 29.2 percent in 2018, and is expected to jump to 44.6 percent by early 2019.
