Today in celebrity weddings: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are married. The couple's extended three-year engagement, which led to endless tabloid speculation about their relationship, reportedly culminated in a top-secret wedding at their Bel Air mansion on Wednesday, August 5. TMZ reports that Aniston attempted to keep the wedding a secret from paparazzi by framing it as a surprise birthday party for Theroux.

Though the wedding was largely kept under wraps, in a story that promises "Details!" Us Weekly provides the few they've been able to acquire: There were outdoor tables, a dance floor, and a cake topped with little Aniston/Theroux homunculi puppets (which are, quite frankly, kind of unsettling to look at).

Congrats to the happy couple. Scott Meslow

On Monday, Sen. Thad Cochran's office announced, in one terse sentence, that the 77-year-old Mississippi Republican had married longtime aide Kay Webber at a private ceremony on Saturday. The marriage comes five months after the death of Cochran's wife and a year after Cochran's re-election campaign denied rumors that the senator and his executive assistant were having an affair, during a heated GOP primary battle.

Webber "is a member of the staff and a trusted aide, and any other suggestion is silly gossip," spokesman Jordan Russell told Jackson, Mississippi's The Clarion-Ledger at the time. She is also Cochran's landlady, renting him the basement of her $1.6 million Washington townhouse, and accompanied him on at least 30 overseas trips between 2002 and 2014, for no apparent official reason, with her expenses costing taxpayers at least $150,000, The Clarion-Ledger reported.

Webber, 76, started working in Cochran's office in 1981, and earns about $140,000 to help arrange travel and constituent events, The Washington Post reports. A Cochran spokesman said Webber will continue working at her husband's office. Peter Weber

In a move befitting the super spy skills of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie managed to sneak away for a secret wedding last weekend without a single paparazzo crashing the ceremony. Today, a spokesman confirmed that Pitt and Jolie got married in "a small chapel in a private ceremony attended by family and friends" last Saturday.

The nondenominational ceremony was held in a chapel in Chateau Miraval, France. Sons Maddox and Pax escorted Jolie down the aisle; daughters Zahara and Vivienne served as flower girls; daughter Shiloh and son Knox served as ringbearers.

This is the second marriage for Pitt, who was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005, and the third for Jolie, who was married to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999, and Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003. Scott Meslow

Let's hear the wedding bells! In honor of Mitchell and Cameron's upcoming wedding on its hit show, Modern Family, ABC is covering the cost of all marriage licenses purchased at the New York City courthouse today.

Sitcom stars Eric Stonestreet (who plays Cameron) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (the man behind Mitchell) went on Good Morning America this morning to announce the endeavor. Mitchell and Cameron's wedding has been in the works ever since the couple's dual proposal from the season premiere back in September, and the nuptials will be the centerpiece of this season's final two episodes.

The GMA segment also included a wedding-cake decorating competition between Ferguson and Stonestreet, judged by none other than Cake Boss' Buddy Valastro. We won't spoil the outcome, but you can watch the whole segment here. Kimberly Alters
